We had the unique opportunity to perform for a host of elementary school children. In the hills of Newport Beach our corps marched through a field of 1,776 flags all adorning the names of fallen soldiers. It was a very special event. [nggallery id=46]
We very much enjoy participating in the Salute To Veterans Parade in Riverside, CA. This year we even had a few mom's out in the limelight holing our Mountain Fifes & Drums banner. It is always great to see many of the wars represented from Colonial to WWII and more....
One of our favorite things to do is to perform for our local community. We had an opportunity to play for the Lake Arrowhead Village's Kids Day. Celebrating youth and kids at heart we hoped to inspire patriotism in our future generations. [nggallery id=44]
We love performing at Knott's Berry Farm we always have a wonderful experience with the staff. We marched and performed in two stage performances this year. The crowd really loved Mr. Garland's telling of the story of Yankee Doodle. [nggallery id=43]
It is always a good time when George Washington descends upon our humble mountain. Our anual Colonial Christmas concert was a great success with story telling and performances by our corps. Playing traditional Patriotic and Christmas tunes to a packed house....
