It was hot, there was no shade other than that which we could provide, it was a barren desolate landscape, and it was awesome! In years past the Moorpark reenactment has been held in a beautiful walnut grove near a corn field that the battles took place in. This year we lost that spot and had to use a very different landscape and it had it’s challenges.
However, nothing could deter us from having a great time, good food and good company. This event each year is more than just a performance. It is a time to connect and bond with those involved in the corps. It wasn’t all leisure, the corps was busy performing in 5 battles and two standing concerts in two days.
What a great time and even better company.
