A beautiful day awaited us at Knott’s Berry Farm, Buena Park, Ca on President’s Day 2013. The corps performed at a top notch level and inspired many young and old. A wonderful first performance of the corps for 2013. In traditional fashion the corps, after two performances, were able to stay at the park and enjoy the attractions. We had the honor of being apart of this years Hollywood Christmas Parade and thousands came out to see the three mile parade. We arrived relatively early in anticipation of traffic, though there wasn’t any to speak of. So we had plenty of time to hang out and munch on some snacks. Then we lined up and waited in formation for a few hours before finally stepping off for the parade. It was a long march and our youths did an amazing job! Few eras of American history have captured the interest of people like the period of the “Civil War”. People have dedicated much time and effort in studying and also recreating it. Such was the case at our latest event at Moorpark this past weekend (Nov. 10th & 11th). The October weather was superb for this years Pine Cone Festival in Twin Peaks California. We had a short march from the Garland’s house to our camp site with a short presentation in between.
